Why I Don't Use Social Media to Promote Fitness Coaching

In today’s digital rush, every business seems glued to social media, from Instagram and TikTok, you name it. With vast audiences and viral potential, it’s a marketer’s dream. But at Practice, I’ve opted out of using social media to promote my fitness coaching. This isn’t just a quirky choice, it’s a deliberate stand against the noise, contradictions, and downsides that come with it, putting your health and real results first.
Here’s why I ditch social media promotion for a better approach.
The Problems with Social Media Promotion
Social media might look like a goldmine, but it’s riddled with issues that clash with my fitness philosophy:
Flood of Misinformation
Scroll long enough, and you’ll hit a wall of conflicting advice, from crash diets to miracle workouts in seconds. Promoting on social media means wading into that chaos, which risks confusing clients and undermining solid fitness principles.
Unrealistic Standards and Pressure
Perfectly edited bodies and quick fixes dominate feeds, setting impossible benchmarks. Using social media to promote Practice would mean feeding into that cycle of comparison and stress, which contradicts my focus on sustainable, individual progress.
Distraction from Real Connection
Algorithms and ads pull focus from what matters: your goals and our work together. Promoting through social media would dilute the personal, hands-on coaching I prioritize, turning it into a numbers game of likes and shares.
A Better Way Forward
Is social media all bad? No! But it doesn't align with my philosophy. I’d rather build my business on trust and results, rather than social media. At Practice, I focus on one-on-one relationships. You get tailored guidance, not a one-size-fits-all trend. No contradictions, no noise, just a clear path to better health.
By skipping social media, I avoid the pitfalls of misinformation and pressure, focusing instead on what works: smart programming, personalized nutrition, and real accountability. It’s fitness coaching grounded in reality, not reels.
